The Nepal earthquake in 2015 occurred at 11:56 NST on 25 April, were killed more than 6,700 people and injuring largely, with a magnitude of 7.9. Its epicenter lay in Barpak village, Gorkha district. It was the most powerful disaster since the 1934. Centuries-old buildings were destroyed at UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar Square and the Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
